We communicate about the real health risks associated with smoking and encourage effective and evidence-based tobacco regulation that is based on the principle of reducing the health impacts of tobacco.

We support adopting and enforcing legal regulations that set a minimum age for selling tobacco products and work closely with retailers and other partners in the implementation of programmes aimed at preventing youth smoking.

Philip Morris Slovakia s.r.o. supports several programmes aimed at preventing children from smoking. In 2012 alone our employees have trained sellers in almost 7 000 independent selling locations within the programme of retail-approach prevention, which is aimed to prevent minors from accessing tobacco.

Apart from our efforts in minor-smoking prevention, we also have a programme of charity activities, which supports several social initiatives, including financing projects aimed at domestic violence prevention.

CHARITY PROGRAMMES

In the past 23 years, Philip Morris has significantly supported charitable projects and programmes. The charitable projects supported are fully in line with the key areas of philanthropy set by our parent company, PMI, defining charitable programs worldwide.

In 2014, we started cooperation with the Slovak-Czech Women's Fund, which is engaged in prevention of domestic violence a human trafficking along with partner organizations.

We continue a long-term partnership with leading charitable organizations in the Czech Republic, such as the Via Foundation, Sun for Everyone Endowment Fund and Business for the Society.
